My Work
Packet capturing - tcpdump
SQL Filtering
Portfolio
Project Description:
I performed tasks associated with using tcpdump to capture network traffic on a Linux virtual machine.
I captured the data in a packet capture (p-cap) file, then examined the contents of the captured packet data to focus on specific types of traffic.
Project Description:
Ran SQL queries to retrieve information from a database called organization that contained two table log_in_attempts and employees.
Also applied AND , OR and NOT operators to filter various SQL queries.
Project Description:
An algorithm that updates a file that identifies employees who can access restricted content.
The restrictions are based on their IP address.
There is an allow list for IP addresses permitted to sign into a restricted sub-network.
There is also a remove list that identifies which employees must be removed from the allow list.
Python - File update algorithm
Linux - Setting file permission
Project Description:
Examine an existing permission of a file system.
Check if permissions matched the authorization that should be given.
If they didn’t match, modify the permissions to the appropriate users and remove any unauthorized access.

Portfolio
My transition into cybersecurity marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I’ve developed hands-on skills in Python automation, threat mitigation, network & log analysis, and SIEM tools, allowing me to actively monitor, analyze, and respond to security events. I’m driven by continuous learning and thrive on exploring new technologies, often testing and refining them in my home lab environment.
I currently hold CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, Linux Essentials from LPI, the Google Cybersecurity Certificate, and Qualys Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Vulnerability Management (VM/VMDR) certifications.
I'm actively pursuing my CompTIA Network+ certification and considering the Microsoft Certified: Cloud and AI Security Engineer Associate certification as next steps to deepen my expertise and grow as a security analyst.
If you’re interested in seeing my hands-on work, including my home lab setup and the tools I’m working with, feel free to explore my GitHub. I’m excited to see where this cybersecurity path leads and to continue growing within this dynamic field.
